I’m finishing fourth North African set. Besides two houses with dome roofs, and the small market building the typical bakery is made. Few touch ups are to be done, but I believe the set will be finished very soon. I hope the wargamers addicted to Afrika Korps and IDF campagns will be satified 😉

Today I want to show you the Upper Silesian buidings which I painted some time ago. I’ve got lots of them to paint, so I tried to find the realistic and rather fast way to do it.

Since the site was updated, some of you asked me to take some close ups of the new buildings.  I hope this will be helpful. As usually I used Vallejo acrylics and AK washes.

I finished more elements for my Coal Mine Diorama. Some of them are taken from Rafinery or RAF sets. The small shaft is scratch built while an old fashioned wooden cooling towers are made recently. All pieces are painted the way I described previously.

  • I’ve painted IN08 set on my “Coal Mining Diorama”. Here is a list of products and an easy method I use. Firstly I use acrylic paints from Vallejo to add the base colours. When the surface is dry I add gently vertical streaks of “Wash for wood”, “Wash for interior”, “Engine grime”, “Earth effects” from AK Interactive. As far as metal surfaces are […]

Wielka płyta, Panelák, Panelház, Plattenbau, Панельное домостроение… These are colloquial terms describing constructed of pre-fabricated, pre-stressed concrete structures, that formed whole microdistricts. I’ve just finished the first building of that kind. Small and versatile. You can place it in the urban diorama or military base as well.

  • Let’s go back to architecture. Here are my two prototypes of gantry cranes designed for small container terminal. You’ll be able to convert them quickly and easily to adapt them as harbour or railway structures. This set will include small industrial building, some boxes and 20′ containers as well.

I started with the curb stones. I made them from some thin slices of the polistyrene, and added the short sidewalks as well. Than I painted the base using Woodland and Faller’s paints. I like the Faller, because of it’s nice texture and deep matt finish. Next, I used Faller’s glue to fix the static grass by Polak. You must remember to mask […]

Buildings and other elements are done. On some of them I put my new decals using Mark Fit by Tamiya. Than I used matt varnish to cover the buildings and protect the paint and decals. Finally I used white paint to wash the walls a bit. Totem was made from an old guitar string. Than I put all my elements on the base […]

  • This is my brand new project – a gas station from 60-70ties. I wanted to have a structure as versatile as possible, so it could be placed on dioramas from various coutries. I have already printed two decal sets, for Polish CPN and German ARAL versions. This project depicts rather big station similar to those situated along the main roads across the Europe […]
