At that stage I filled the spaces between the cardboard cross sections. As usually I used old papers, than covered them by Woodland’s plaster cloth and their casting plaster which is awesome. After 24 hours I started to shape the hills. Finally I sprinkled fallen plaster particles by PVA glue mixed with water to fix them and protect the whole composition.

Today I’ve started to shape the ground. I used basic tools to cut the cross sections from the 2mm cardboard. Finally I gued them together with PVA glue. The line of the lakeshore is marked as well. To be continued soon.

The second project I’ve started is rather big Upper Silesian coal mine. It’s very complex diorama with three shafts, power plant, old fashioned gas plant and part of the town. I finished the water, while I am still modelling the new products. I added last layer of Mod Podge to form small waves and used Foam&Snow from Vallejo for final touches. The sunny weather gave me the opportunity to take some nice pictures.

I am still testing the water effects. I put the fishboat on my test-board and add some more Mod Podge. I’m not quite satisfied with the painting, but the surface looks quite nice. Smooth and lots of reflections.

Because of the final touches on my trains I have no time for other modelling activities. To avoid the physical brakedown 😉 I had to do something else just for fun. I want to show you four pictures of the balkonies, which I attached to the buildings during the short brake. The street light was also glued to the wall.

  • The final touches. I used the paints from Vallejo and Faller to finish the road. Than Woodland’s Fine Turf and some of my trees were added to create the greenery. Last but not least I arrayed some of my vehicles and took a couple of pictures. Probably you have noticed two prototypes of excavators. These products will be availabe in our range very […]

A few months ago I bought a very nice set made by Woodland. This is the great product for the beginners. In a big box you may find all kind of tools and materials indispensable for making a couple of small dioramas. I wanted to try out the casting plaster and the casting roll wich I’ve never used before. I started to form […]
